Not really doing the TTM thing any more, but found out through a Facebook group that one of my all-time favorite college football players signs through the mail. Sent him a letter with my request and asked him to inscribe his favorite bible verse on the photo. I metioned my large collection of his cards, signed photos and magazines, and also asked him if he would ever pen his autobiography. He wrote an interesting note on the back of the return envelope and answered the question at the bottom. Got the request back in about a month. Seems like a super nice guy! One of my favorite returns ever.
